Embargo Policy
How embargoed releases are shared with verified journalists, and what happens if an embargo is broken.
- Version
- 1.1-draft
- Effective
1. Who sees embargoed releases
Only journalists we have verified, who have embargo access and who accepted this policy, can read a release before its public time. Every embargoed view shows "Embargoed until {time}".
2. Journalist commitment
I agree to honor embargo times. Breaking an embargo will suspend my access.
3. Reported breaks
If an embargo break is reported, Trust & Safety suspends the journalist's embargo access and notifies the issuing customer. We do not publish early because of a break.
4. Best effort
Embargo protection is best effort. We are not liable for a third party's breach.
