If material in a release on Emerald Beacon News Wire infringes your copyright, send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If your material was removed by mistake, send a counter-notice. We respond within 48 hours and terminate repeat infringers.

What happens next

We review the notice within 48 hours.
If it's complete, we remove or disable the material and tell the issuer.
The issuer may send a counter-notice; we forward it to you.
Unless you tell us you've filed a court action, the material may be restored 10 to 14 business days after we forward the counter-notice.

Repeat infringers

If content from an organization is removed after three valid copyright notices in any 12-month period, we terminate that organization's account after a staff review confirms the notices. See Terms §9.
